Please join us in our “Farmhouse” for Spring sesson of traditional farm life skills.
Kitchen Garden in Pots or Plots
In this 6 week session your child will learn garden basics. It is our goal to have each child take home enough knowledge & seedlings to grow their own small contained Kitchen garden. To begin our gardening experience we will explore different seed varieties. They will learn the plants place of origin, companion planting and a bit of garden lore. After your child has picked which plants to grow we will continue our journey by planning out the garden plot. Yes there is math involved in this exercise! They will take a short hike on the grounds to collect materials to make a Garden Journal to carefully record all their information in. Soil will be prepared along with discussions on worm composting. Each child will plant & care for their selection of seeds which will be taken home at the end of the session.
Thursday will be our Clover Bud Day ( 5-7 years old) Class begins May 7th
